Stuff & Things 2/4

:: We were supposed to get a big blizzard on Tuesday and Wednesday. But ... we only got about three inches. I was kind of hoping for the excuse to work from home, but ... I couldn't justify it with so little snow. I'm disappointed I didn't get a snow day, but ... it ended up being a pretty decent day. I got a lot of work done, had lunch with colleagues (who usually leave for lunch), and got in a killer workout. So I'm not that mad about no snow day.

:: I'm signed up for a 5K next weekend. I'm really looking forward to it ... even though I haven't gone for a run in roughly a month.  I'm a little nervous about that fact, but I'm sure I'll be fine. It's not as though I haven't been active in the last month. And maybe the diverse workouts of Xtreme Revolution will actually make me a better runner.

:: I've started my weekly social media break. But I'm starting slow. Last night, I stayed offline for about three hours. I enjoyed dinner and a movie without needing to read Facebook or Twitter.  It was kind of nice, honestly.  I think that might become a regular Wednesday thing. Eventually, I'd like it to last the whole evening ... and maybe even a whole day. Maybe I'll call it Web-Free Wednesday Night.

::  I'm thinking about cutting my hair. Significantly. Which probably means it'll be done in the next week or so. That's how I operate.

:: A friend and I are planning to take a trip together later this year. We live in different cities, so we want to pick a place neither of us has been and meet there to explore and hang out.  We've narrowed it down to Charleston and Seattle.  Which would you choose?

So what's up with you this week?

  1. Once I get the bug to cut my hair, it must be done pronto.

  2. I just booked a hair appointment for this weekend and realized that I have no idea what I want to do with it haha! Looking forward to seeing what you decide! I'm taking a trip to Seattle for the first time in August so I vote there :) I've never been!

  3. I try to just read for the half hour before bed. It's much more relaxing than the internet.

Love the new hair on Instagram!
