For me, it brings back negative memories of college and grad school, of all the reading required for my courses that I had not choice but to read. Memoirs, autobiographies, biographies, travel memoirs, and certain micro histories are better for me in terms of non-fiction. I love the movie The Monuments Men and considered the book once or twice, but decided to just leave well enough alone. I've read nonfiction books that I absolutely loved and others that were like pulling teeth! I have found that listening to nonfiction books with my Audible subscription is much more enjoyable!
