Family
My parents and brother have always been there for me -- through moves, job changes, heartbreaks, successes, and celebrations. I am very blessed to have a good relationship with each of them. My family grew significantly this year when I married Sean. He's from a big family, where the cousins, aunts, and uncles, are all pretty close and connected. It's quite an adjustment when I go to some of his family gatherings (I have gotten OK with names but don't always remember who goes with who), but I don't mind. It's fun to see the difference.

Friends
I lost a few people from my circle this year. That was hard. But I also learned more about the people who stayed. And I gained a few new friendships as well. I can't wait to see how they continue to bloom and evolve.

Fur babies
Cleo gave me quite a scare earlier this year, and I thought for sure I'd be saying "goodbye" to her at some point during the summer. But she's still here and as feisty as ever. Casey has become quite the cuddlebug. I love them both so much.

Change
Change is really hard for me, but I'm learning to embrace it. Without change, I wouldn't grow. And I need to keep growing and becoming a better person.

Books
The world has been difficult to bear at various times this year. My love of reading has allowed me to occasionally escape into another world and another life. Occasionally, I'm enlightened while I'm also being entertained.

What are you thankful for this year?
Have a great weekend!
