:: Last Saturday, Sean and I went to the Iowa State vs. Kansas State football game. And boy did we see quite the game. The Cyclones were down 17 points in the 4th quarter and suddenly scored 21 unanswered points in a very short span of time to win!! They beat Kansas State for the first time in 10 years. Unbelievable. It was really stressful but the end result was a lot of fun to witness.
:: National Novel Writing Month ends tomorrow. I am not going to make it to 50K words. I'm currently at 36,025. I'll be lucky if I can get to 40K. This writing project has been interesting and a real challenge for me. I'm not convinced it's any good, so I may never let anyone read it, but I've learned a lot in the process.
:: We decked our halls on Black Friday. As I've mentioned a time or two, I try to put up my Christmas decorations on Nov. 24 every year to honor my friend, Amy, who passed away years ago. The 24th was her birthday and she loved Christmas, so it's always felt appropriate. This year, I knew I'd be gone all day on the 24th, so I did it on the 23rd. I think it looks pretty nice!
:: Oh, and I'm changing my part-time employment. My days as a beertender are over as of last Friday. Next up (starting tomorrow, actually), I will be helping fulfill online grocery orders for a local grocery chain. I plan to write more about this change and what inspired me to make it in the near future. But for now, it's suffice to say I'm pretty excited for the new opportunity.
