It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK ...

... that I really miss my Zumba classes.
I had to cut some expenses this month, so I nixed my fitness classes plan.
But I went back last night and hope I can do that at least once a week.

... to really want to see "The Dark Knight Rises" tonight, but decide to sleep instead.
Midnight showings are fun ... until the next day when I'm a zombie.
Clearly, I'm just an old lady.

... to be sad that I won't get to any more Rangers games this season.
I really wanted to try and get to Kansas City, but money is tight.
Being an adult sucks sometimes.

... to already be plotting which new ballparks I want to visit next season.
It's the only thing saving me from complete depression over no more games this year.
I'm thinking maybe Cincinnati and Cleveland.

... that baseball trade rumors drive me crazy.
All the speculation, wondering and waiting makes my head spin.
Also, I get attached to players. Easily.

... to be amused that the last three items on this list were about baseball.
It truly is on my mind for a good portion of each day.
But I don't see that as a problem.

... to take my friends' dating advice with a grain of salt.
I know they have my best interests at heart and love me.
But ultimately, I will have to live with my decisions.
So I have to put that above my friends' opinions.

... to be disappointed when I can't reply to comments via e-mail.
I really appreciate comments and like to respond to as many as I can.
Read this entry about no-reply commenters and see if you're one of them.

... to really love this quote:
"All you can change is yourself,
but sometimes that changes everything!"
I've been learning how true that is the past few years.

... to already be annoyed with the political talk and advertisements.
Regardless of which side you fall on, the hate, fear and criticism are a beating.
And it's only July.  We have a long way to go until November.

What's OK with you?

  1. I hate all the political talk too. It's also all over FB and Twitter. It's why I don't talk politics, at all. I don't care to start arguments. :) I just politely ignore anyone who posts anything political.

I love that a lot of your points were about baseball. I'm sad you won't be back in Texas for another game this season though. :(

  2. Thanks for posting the info about the Captcha I can't stand that and had no idea it was turned on my blog.
I am taking a Twitter break for awhile because I am so sick of the politics. I can't stay off Facebook completely but I have that filtered so the people I see normally are not the political folks. Driving me nuts.
    Good blog.

  4. I fixed my account so you can reply to me... yay! :)

I always liked the idea of Zumba. But when I tried it out, it turns out I suck at it lol.

    Great quote!

  5. There are SO many people I wish I could reply to! I try to tell bloggers individually about the "no reply" thing if it applies to them, but that's a lot of work. I wish everyone would double check their settings.

  6. I totally agree about the reply feature. I had no idea I didn't have mine turned on until someone commented on my blog about it. I went to a Marlins game this week but don't know much or follow baseball. I just like the hotdogs and beer. :)
