What I'm loving Wednesday

I'm loving ...

... that I'm finally settling into my new routine.
Working 10-hour days and still finding time to work out, blog, write, sleep, etc., is a challenge.
I'm still tweaking it some, but for the most part it's set.
Now and then I have to break from it, but it hasn't hurt me yet.

... that I get to listen to the Rangers game this afternoon.
I love listening to music every day while I do my job.
But it'll be nice to listen to my favorite boys do their thing.
It always seems to make the afternoons go faster too.

... that college football starts this weekend.
I cannot wait to put on my cardinal and gold on Saturday.
After work, I'm headed to Ames to watch the ISU-UNI game with my parents.
I thought about tailgating, but it's gonna be too damn hot for that.

... that there is a running store less than a mile from my house.
I was asking people about running shoes over the weekend.
I discovered help was just up the block.
I'll be headed there soon to look into some new shoes.

... my Tuesday and Thursday night Zumba classes.
They make my evenings really short since they don't get over until 7:15, but oh well.
The instructor is a blast and she definitely kicks my butt.
It's totally worth the sweat and lack of free time at night.

... that I move to the new building Friday.
Half of our department moved their earlier this week, and my work BFF was in that group.
It's been pretty lonely this week with no one to talk to.
I'm glad it's coming to an end soon. I miss my chats with her.

... that I've been making really good progress on my novel.
I sent out a long-awaited chapter to beta readers over the weekend.
I now have a goal of finishing it by October so I can do NaNoWriMo in November.
If that doesn't kick my butt in gear to finish, nothing will.

What are you loving this week?

  2. I love listening to games at work! I used to hate day games, but they're starting to grow on me now. Glad you're getting in some good writing time! :)
