I'm not creative about costumes.
Scary movies are not welcome in my imagination.
I don't really live in a place where I can hand out candy to trick or treaters.
Simply put, Halloween just doesn't do much for me.
All weekend long, I saw people posting photos of costumes and parties, and I started to feel kind of like a grinch (I figure he probably doesn't like any holidays). But I caught a little of the Halloween spirit when some friends and I got together to carve pumpkins and watch "Hocus Pocus." Oh yeah.
This was my first time carving pumpkins, but thankfully I was with some pros, so I quickly figured out what to do and how to do it.
Here's the pumpkin I started with ...
And since I'm a cat lady, here's my creation ...
Here are four of the finished products from the night ...
And here's a little bit of what I got to take home ...
So I could make these ...
All in all, it was a great way to celebrate Halloween with friends.
I hate scary movies, I never watch them. But I do love candy, and costumes. I don't get trick or treaters either so I just eat the candy myself :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love roasted pumpkin seeds, so good call, they're delicious!
That sounds like fun! And your pumpkin turned out great. I would be too nervous carving a pumpkin- might slice off a finger haha.
