There won't be weigh-ins (I'm more focused on how I feel than what I weigh), and I'm not a certified trainer or nutritionist (so please don't take my words as health gospel). I'm just girl who wants to feel better and put up a good fight against the diabetes that runs in my family. Still with me? I hope so.
Inspired by Holly's Sunday Sweats series, I've decided to start sharing my weekly workouts here. It'll keep me accountable, and I also think it'll show me when I'm in a rut and encourage me to shake it up a little.
Sadly, my only workout this week happened last night. But one is better than none, right?
Thursday: 20 minutes of jog/run intervals on the treadmill // 5 minute cool down walk // 15 minutes of resistance bands and free weights.
Note --- I went to the gym after work, planning to go back to BodyPump with my friend, Kelly. At the last moment, Kelly texted and said she was stuck at work and wasn't going to make it. Not anxious to face the class without Kelly, I went to the women's workout room (my favorite place) and did my own thing. I think I did pretty well for having no set plan.
Next week, I hope to have a longer workout list and a much more interesting post to go with it.
Until then, here's a song that makes me anxious to get back to Zumba ...
We do that song at my zumba class too and I love it!! I'm definitely looking forward to reaching some weight goals in 2014!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Holly!! She is so awesome. I definitely need to workout more too--I am good about eating, but I need to sweat. MORE! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! So happy that this is going to work for you. Even if no one comments or reads these posts, I know for a fact it has truly helped me get back into shape, and I am positive it will help you too :)
