2014 GOALS
1. Complete eight races.
I'm all about challenging my body this year. I'm not saying I'll be fast at any of them, but I just want to finish.
2. Read 45 books.
I thought about shooting for 50 or 52, but I decided to ease my way up to that number. I still have writing to do, after all.
3. Pay off all of my credit and store cards.
It's the most annoying debt ever. I want to be rid of it all.
4. Send out four handwritten notes or surprises each month.
Mail totally brightens my day (as long as it's not a bill). I want to do this for someone else. Want to be a recipient of this goal? Give me your address here.
2014 NEW THINGS
1. Take a spin class.
I've been wanting to try this for a while. I'm a little scared. Time to face the fear.
2. Complete a 10K and a half-marathon.
This kind of goes along with my first goal above. But they're new to me, so I'm putting them here too.
3. Join two organizations or committees.
I want to meet new people and get more involved in my community.

I think these are really, really great and attainable goals, Micah!! I know you're going to have a successful year. I'm with you on paying off credit card/store card debt. It's my priority to get rid of all that this year, too. I'm challenged by your goal to run 8 races but I know you'll succeed! If we were in the same place I'd love to take a spin class with you! I've been once before but it's been so long that it's practically a new thing for me to try, too. Happy, happy New Year my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love these!! I need to read more books - and watch less TV. Thanks for the reminder! :) I agree, credit card debt IS the most annoying debt - ever! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!
I barely managed 40 books in 2013 - I had to read a really skinny Scholastic book club book on New Year's Eve to get my goal accomplished! - so I'm not sure whether to up the ante or not this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about signing up for a Zumba class this year to keep pushing myself, fitness-wise.
I just sent you my address. I LOVE MAIL! I send more than receive and it gives me so much joy. I will send you so much - and I can already think of two things at home that would be great for you. Send away!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals for 2014, Micah!! I love sending handwritten mail...makes things so much more special :)
ReplyDeleteSpin isn't hard! I swear you'll be great at it. Although, it does hurt the bottom the first few times.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading your goals. I always like reading others' but rarely publish my own :)
