Where's the 'reset' button?

Do you ever have one of those days when you just want to go back to bed and start over? Or maybe just go back to bed?

That was me yesterday.

And I blame the way I behaved over the weekend.

I stayed up (and out) til well after midnight on Friday night and Saturday night.  That meant I slept til almost ten both mornings as well.  I know that sounds heavenly to some of you, but it totally threw a wrench in my sleep rhythm.

Oh, and I drank lots of beer.  I didn't really get wasted, but I definitely consumed more beer than I usually do in a weekend. (Yay for brewery flights?)

It was a lot of fun, but I definitely paid for it on Monday.

I woke up later than I wanted, which meant I was rushing around to get ready.

Somehow, I got out the door on time, but as I tried to merge onto the interstate, no one would let me in.  And the lane ended.  So I had to get off one exit up from where I'd gotten on and take back streets to work.  This makes my route about 10 minutes longer.

On the way, three people either cut me off or tried to turn in front of me.  I kid you not, I had screamed -- "What the f*** are you doing?!?" at least four times before I got to to the office.

During this extended drive, I realized I'd left my lunch at home.  On the counter.  So not only did I not have anything to eat, but what I had made would not be good for the next day.  Wasted food.

Work, incredibly enough, wasn't so bad.  I'm still easing into my load, so I'm actually a few days ahead.  I mean, there were still a few irritating emails and phone calls, but that's easy to deal with.

After work, I headed to the gym for kickboxing.  I started unpacking my gym bag to get ready only to realize I'd forgotten to pack a sports bra.  Yay. So I was going to be the girl working out in a regular bra.  Fantastic.

There were a few other letdowns during the day, but I'll keep those to myself.

It's safe to say I definitely had a case of the Mondays ... and it's all because I tried to act like a twentysomething over the weekend.  Lesson learned.

Oh, and today we're in a winter storm warning, so the week is obviously looking up.
