New Year's Eve Stuff & Things

:: New Year's Eve is not a holiday at my company so I'm at work today.  I feel like I'm in the minority there. I'm also working at one of my side gigs this evening.  Only a few hours. And it's no big deal anyway. I have zero plans. Except the ones with my couch and cats. Do you have big plans?

:: I also plan to tap into a bottle of Jasper Winery's La Hop tonight. It's a white wine that's been dry hopped with citra hops. So, basically, it's like a beer and wine combination. It's so tasty!!

:: I'm signed up to do a 5K on Friday. It's going to pretty chilly that day, but it's not the cold I'm worried about.  Nope. I'm more concerned about the road conditions. We got six inches of snow this week and while the roads are mostly melty and slushy during the day, I fear that'll make the running routes a bit slick. Hopefully I don't fall on my face.

:: Even with everything I have going on, I haven't been very good about using a paper planner in the past. That might change this year after I found this one.  So cute.

:: Winter weather really dries out my skin. Coconut oil is the only thing helping.  Do you have any other tips?

:: People need to stop posting things before checking out their validity. If I see one more post about how Mark Zuckerberg is giving away millions of dollars to random people who share a post, I'm going to punch my computer.

:: On a happier note, my best friend welcomed a baby girl last weekend. I can't wait to meet Miss Nora in a few weeks.

What's up with you?

  1. Deliver me from the Zuckerberg posts.

Exfoliating is just as important as moisturizing! Make sure you're doing that a few times a week. That really helps my dry skin.

  2. That's how I've spent NYE day, under a blanket with a dog beside me. Sounds good to me.

I struggle a lot with dry skin. I keep a giant tube of Rodan and Fields body lotion in my desk at school and I like the cheap, Target brand (maybe an Aveeno knockoff?) to carry with me. Also, Eucerin is good.
