Music Monday: Brandi Carlile - "Party of One"

I don't do very well at keeping up with albums, so I hadn't listened to Brandi Carlisle's latest until very recently. And I'm so disappointed I didn't check it out sooner. She's a masterful songwriter and has a way with vocals that express so much.

This song is heartbreaking and the video matches the tone, but Brandi's voice is so beautiful.

She also recorded a version of this song with Sam Smith. I'm not a huge fan of him, but his voice works here.

Oh, and this album is up for a Grammy. I hope Brandi wins.
