WLJ: Two steps forward, one step back

This week wasn't a good one.  I wasn't too surprised when I stepped on the scale, but I'm not too happy either.

I was pretty good about my points, although I did have more treats than usual.  I also didn't keep up with my water intake over the weekend, and my sleep patterns were atrocious.  I'm not even going to talk about working out because, well, there's nothing to talk about.  I'm still trying to find my motivation there.

That paragraph above tells me exactly what I need to do this week and in weeks ahead.

I'm visiting friends this weekend, which means I'm saving a lot of my extra weekly points.  I'm sure I'll indulge a little, although we are going to workout together on Friday (I'll get to try Zumba for the first time --- I'm so excited), so maybe it'll kind of balance out.

The important thing is that I keep going even when I have a setback.  There are going to be weeks like this (I've watched enough of "The Biggest Loser" to understand that).  I just can't let them detract me from my goal.

Weight-loss goal: 40 lbs.
This week's progress: + 1 lb.
Progress to date (since 4/26/11): - 4 lbs.

  1. Eh, you'll have ups and downs. You're still doing well! Let me know how zumba goes. I am way too uncoordinated to enjoy it.
