It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

\\\\////

It's OK ...

... that the American League team looked terrible in the All-Star Game.
I'm still an American League girl all the way.
And look at all those Rangers jerseys. I love my boys.

\\\\////

... that I'm glad my commitment to the municipal band is over for the summer.
I enjoyed playing with the group, and I will do it again next year.
But it will be nice to have my Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons back.

\\\\////

... that I didn't do much of anything last weekend.
I really needed to mow the lawn and do laundry.
But I didn't want to, so I didn't.
I lounged on the couch and caught up on my DVR.
It was heavenly.

\\\\////

... to be really sad my favorite band is taking a hiatus at the end of the year.
I know this isn't the end, but it still makes me cry.

\\\\////

... to think it's lame when people beg celebrities on Twitter for re-tweets.
And I'm talking about just the random shoutouts, not the ones for a cause.
It's annoying, and if it's the highlight of their life, I feel bad for them.
Maybe I should just unfollow every celebrity who gives in.
There's a thought.

\\\\////

... that I love my first birthday present.
My friend, Lacy, sent me my very own Ian Kinsler doll.
He was a very early gift, but I'm OK with that. I love him.

\\\\////

... that I read two books last week, but not even a page this week.
I've been preoccupied by TV and other things.
I'll get back at it.
Maybe this weekend ... when I'm not DIYing it.

\\\\////

... to be totally Team Jef for the "Bachelorette" finale.
I didn't think much of him at the beginning of the season.
But he's really grown on me, and Emily's face lights up around him.
But she'll probably pick Arie -- they kiss a lot but don't talk much.

\\\\////

... to be pretty excited that I reached the 30 lb. mark in my weight-loss journey.
It's taken me 14 months, but if I'm being honest, I didn't get really serious until six months ago.
And I've lost just shy of 19 lbs. since then.
Slow and steady is fine with me.
I'm really proud of how far I've come.

What's OK with you?

I LOVE weekends where I don't have to do anything. I wish I had one coming up, maybe next month!! With the Mary Kay seminars starting next week, life is about to get crazy! :)

Congrats on reaching the 30lb mark, that is so awesome! I know you have been working hard! :)

  2. Congrats on the weight loss! That's such a huge accomplishment! I just started Weight Watchers and am hoping to lose about 30 lbs by the end of the year, so it's nice to hear about someone who's been successful about losing weight.
