I'm a big fan of setting smaller goals, some of which serve as stepping stones to larger goals, so I'm very excited about this new link-up with Jenn and Jessica. It means two blog posts on Mondays, but that's OK, right? Anyhow, let's get down with the first ever 5 for Five.
1. Be in bed by 10 p.m. every night (except Friday).
-- I'm such a night owl, but I hate myself less in the mornings when I get to bed at a decent time.
2. Spend at least one hour each night reading.
-- I got a book from the library that's due back Monday. I need to finish it.
3. Remember to take my multivitamin every day.
-- I am terrible at this.
4. Get four workouts in.
-- I slacked a little bit (or a lot) last week. Time to get back at it.
5. Start brainstorming for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month).
-- "Riffs of Regret" was born during NaNoWriMo last year. Sure, I started on Nov. 1 with nothing planned (no plot, no characters, etc.), but that probably won't work for me every year. I need to start thinking about what I want to write.
Check back next week to see how I did on these goals and scope out my new weekly goals.
I don't know if I will ever be able to be in bed by 10pm. Maybe once I move in with my boyfriend who is less of a night owl. I'm just so used to staying up until at least midnight - its horrible!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I can totally relate to 1-4! I feel much better if I am in bed earlier, I would LOVE to have more time to read, I am currently battling with remembering to take my multivitamin, AND I'm striving for four workouts per week. Good luck to you!! Thanks so much for linking up with us! Can't wait to see how you did next Monday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us, friend!! LOVING your list. Both Jessica and I are working on the multivitamin thing too :) Your goal of reading is great- something I need to do now that I have some new reading material....thanks to you!!! Thanks again for linking up with us!
ReplyDeleteYour number 2 sounds like me! I have a book that I got last Wednesday that's due this Wednesday. 314 pages and I'm on page 48. AHH. Love your goals!
