5 for Five

Check out how I did last week:

Work on my novel for five hours.
I got about three hours in.
It's slow going right now. Sad.

Complete a 6-mile run.
It wasn't fast and it wasn't pretty.
But it's done.

Work on decorating the bedroom.
Seeing a friend's super-clean and super-organized bedroom kicked my butt.
I did a lot of work in my room.

Decide on my July fitness challenge.
I've decided to spend 15 minutes a day doing yoga.
I love the effects it has on my body.

Go for a walk on a new trail.
I didn't get to this.  Oops.
I'll move it to this week.

Three out of five.
Considering it was a holiday week, I think that's pretty good.

Here are my new goals for the week ahead:

Work on my novel for five hours.
I really need to buckle down.
I would like to finish this book soon.

Do BodyPump twice.
I only went once last week, and my body was angry.
I need to get back in routine.

Go for a walk on a new trail.
There are tons of walking trails in my city.
I need to go check them out.

Spend an hour a day reading.
I am anxious to dig into a book from the swap I hosted.
It's been waiting for me ... patiently, I think.

Eat a fruit and/or vegetable with every meal.
I have been really slacking on my eating habits.
I need to work on that.

Come back next week to see how I did.

  1. Great job on knocking out your 6 miles! I love that you decided to chose yoga for your challenge. I did that in May and found it to be amazing. I need to get back at it!

  2. I love the hour a day reading goal. I should do that too! Typically I try and read each night before bed, but it'd be good to set a goal.

  3. I am just happy you are working on the book because I am so anxious to find out where they are...who they are going to end up being...and who wins the stinking World Series!
    I know...I nag! I can't help it. LOL

  4. Sometimes I'll read a book in a day, sometimes it takes a month. It depends on my mood! Good luck with that hour a day!
