My appetite has been out of control the past few weeks. I'm like a bottomless pit.
I'm sure part of it is due to poor breakfast choices, so I've decided to start planning my breakfasts better. (This goes along with my lunch and supper plans.)
I've had really good luck with overnight oats. They're delicious, filling, and easy to take to work. But I only really have two standby favorites.
#1
1/2 c. oats
1/3 of a banana, sliced
1 tbsp. peanut butter
1/2 c. almond milk
#2
1/2 c. oats
1/3 of a banana, sliced
3/4 of a graham cracker, crushed
1/2 tbsp. of honey
They're both so good, but I don't want to get burned out on them, so I need to find some other recipes. Pinterest to the rescue, right?
Do you have any good make ahead breakfast-on-the go ideas?
SO glad you shared this!!! I've been looking for good, prep before the morning, breakfast recipes. If I don't plan my meals the night before...chances are I'm not eating a healthy (or any...) breakfast. I'll be trying these FOR SURE. Thanks!!
ReplyDeletePS- I'm LOVING the new blog layout!!! I've been super slacking on blog reading lately so I hadn't seen it yet. Looks fantastic!
DeleteAnything I can freeze and go. Like those fake egg mcmuffins or breakfast burritos I see on pinterest a lot. You can make a ton and freeze to reheat each morning. I like fast!
ReplyDeleteI love make ahead and reheat stuff - breakfast burritos, muffins (sausage, cheese and chives), and individual quiches. :-)
ReplyDeleteEgg muffins! My sausage/cheddar biscuits are amazing, and can easily be lightened up.
