Postseason baseball.
Football.
Colorful leaves.
Cooler temperatures.
Sweatshirt weather.
I love every bit of it. Even though I know there are freezing temperatures and short days ahead, I can still enjoy everything fall has to offer.
This year, I decided to make a fall to-do list to follow my summer list. Here are a few things I'd like to do before Mr. Winter arrives.
:: Check out some Friday night lights.
I just want to drive to a random high school football field some Friday night and cheer for the home team.
:: Paint, carve, or decorate a pumpkin.
I haven't done this in so long. It's time.
:: Go to an apple orchard.
I think there are a few in the area. I need to go check them out.
:: Take a drive or a walk where I can take in the changing leaves.
It's such a gorgeous time of year. I need to get out of the city to fully appreciate it.
:: Make beer.
I'm putting this on the list because I've been talking to two friends about this for a while. We need to do it.
:: Participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).
That's November, for those not aware. I fully intend to finish up my current project and then take a break to tackle a new one in November.
:: Drink hot cider.
I think I prefer this over a pumpkin spice latte. Seriously.
:: Bake an apple pie. From scratch.
I have never done this, but I really want to.
:: Go to the farmer's market.
I think it continues into the fall, so maybe I can get there. I might have to take a Saturday off of work for that though, so ... I don't know.
:: Finish my 5K goal for the year.
I want to do six races this year. I've done four so far and I'm signed up for one more. I need to find that sixth one. Fall weather is my favorite to run in anyway.
What's on your agenda for fall?
Hot cider > PSL any day of the week in my book. I forgot about NaNoWriMo. I'm definitely doing that again this year!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite too. You've inspired me to make my own list. Thanks!
