This runner's wishlist

I loved it, but decided to amend it a bit to reflect my own desires.
 Here are some running goodies I would love to find under the tree or in my stocking this year.

+++++

Garmin FR10

Yes, this has been on my list for a really long time.

+++++

Running shorts

I have only found one pair I actually like.
They're Iowa State ones and they fit so well!
I'd like to add some more to my closet before summer.

+++++

Yurbuds
[source]
I think my ears are shaped funny or something. Earbuds never feel right in them -- even when I'm just sitting.  I definitely struggle when I'm running.  These were designed by runners, so they should stay put. And they allow for surrounding noise too.

+++++

A subscription to Runner's World
[source]
I read almost every article they post on Facebook.
I feel like there could be some helpful tips and motivation in the magazine.

+++++

A belt pack
[source]

I currently have a little pack that some refer to as a mini-fanny pack.  It's functional but it's starting to show some wear and tear.  And I feel like there has to be something better to hold my phone, keys, and ID.  Maybe the Running Buddy shown above? I'm open to recommendations.

+++++

A certificate to cheer at a future race

[source]
This is definitely stolen from the list I linked to. I love having people I know at races with me.  Specifically, I am going to need tons of support during my half-marathon in April.  ((By the way I'm trying to figure out a way for people far away to offer their support too -- maybe recording audio files and loading them onto my iPod?  Anyone know if this is possible?))

+++++

Is there anything missing from my list?

  1. I have tiny ear canals, so finding earbuds that don't hurt is almost impossible. But those yurbuds look awesome! And that's the cutest garmin I've ever seen! Most of them are ginormous.

  2. Actually, your friend Ari may be trying to sell hers because she got the newer model. Just FYI if you're interested in the pink one...

    Great list! I have a Runner's World subscription on my iPad, love it.

  3. Micah - do you plan on running your half marathon wearing a hydration belt? I wore a Fuel Belt for mine last weekend and the little pouch held all my stuff (car key, ear bud pouch, etc). I trained wearing mine on long runs and I love it. :-) My running buddy wears a Nathan hydration belt and likes hers a lot (her pouch is on the middle of the belt - great for holding brand, gels, etc).

  4. I LOVE Runner's world magazine. The only magazine I read cover to cover. I use a SPI Belt and I like it. It's compact but also can hold a phone. A garmin is worth of every penny. So go ahead...treat yo'self! :)
