GoodReads description:
The lives of four very different women intertwine in unexpected ways in this new novel by bestselling author Jennifer Weiner (In Her Shoes; Best Friends Forever). Each woman has a problem: Princeton senior Jules Wildgren needs money to help her dad cure his addiction; Pennsylvania housewife Annie Barrow is gasping to stay financially afloat; India Bishop yearns to have a child, an urge that her stepdaughter Bettina can only regard with deeply skepticism until she finds herself in a most unexpected situation.
My thoughts:
Jennifer Weiner is the author of one of my favorite books, "Good In Bed." Since then, I've been eager to read her works. Some have lived up to what I expected. Others have been a bit disappointing. "Then Came You" belongs in the former category. I was sucked in right away by the stories of all of these women, anxious to see how they intertwined -- because I knew they would. And once they did, the story wasn't over yet. The resolution is satisfying, and I could definitely see this being a movie or a mini-series.
Rating:
Three of five stars
I've never read one of Jennifer Weiner's books, but I've heard good things about her.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check her out, sounds like it might be good.
ReplyDeleteI really, really enjoyed this one! I don't think it's as good as Good in Bed, but there's others I've liked less. Have you read Little Earthquakes yet? That's probably my favorite of hers.
