Music Monday: "Holiday" from "American Idiot" (the musical)
Friday night I went to see "American Idiot" when it was here in town. I was so excited. I've been wanting to see it since I heard they were making the musical. I really loved that album, and that was the tour when I saw Green Day live (and met them). I always thought the album was really theatrical, so I was anxious to see how they used it in a show. I was not disappointed. It was a true rock musical -- politically edgy (I mean, it's Green Day, so ... yeah), profanity (again, Green Day), very little actual dialog, awesome sets, and fantastic choreography. I really really enjoyed it!

I saw the musical a few years ago and wasn't in love with it, but I did really like how they used the music and the messages. I heard it might be turned into a movie. I'm definitely interested in that!
