Movies I can watch over and over

There are lots of bloggers out in blogland I would love to meet and hang out with. There are just so many with whom I have a lot in common, others who make me laugh on an almost daily basis, and those who make me think (in a good way).

Megan at Growing Up is Actually Kind of Fun is definitely on the list of blog friends I wish were real friends.  She's actually near the top thanks to her love of craft beer, fitness, cute dog, and overall sweet personality.  Earlier this week, she posted a list of movies she could watch over and over.  I decided to steal her idea and post my own list.

"Pitch Perfect"
No movie has ever made me wish harder that I'd been in choir in my school days.
My girl crush on Anna Kendrick also expanded here.  Adore her.
I quote it all the time with my friends. And I almost feel bad when people don't get the references.

"A League Of Their Own"
Love love love.
Do I really even need to say anything about this?
"There's no crying in baseball!" is the most famous line, but it's not my favorite.
What is? Jimmy's prayer before the game. Enough said.

 "Rock of Ages"
I really didn't want to like this movie. I mean, it's Tom Cruise as a shady 80s rocker.
But a friend convinced me to watch it and now this is one of my guilty pleasure movies.
I love the music and the nostalgia.  The performances are pretty fantastic too (yes, even Tom).

"Friends With Kids"
This is where I really discovered Adam Scott. I want to dislike him, but I can't. I'm drawn to him.
The whole cast is great -- Maya Rudolph, Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm, Kristin Wiig, & Chris O'Dowd.  So great.
And this movie has the best final scene/lines ever.  Seriously.

 "Step Up"
Come on.
It's all about the eye candy -- Channing and the future Mrs. Channing.
Oh, and the dance scenes.  Love those too.

This list could probably go on forever, but I feel like I should cut it off here.  And now I wish I could stay home and watch these movies all weekend long!!!

  1. First off thanks for the sweet words. We have a beer date and a Rangers game in our future one of these days. I finally watched Pitch Perfect, and it didn't disappoint. And I totally forgot about A League of Their Own. LOVE that movie.
