When life (and plantar fasciitis) happens

I did not work out this week.

Too many things going on.

Plus, I had a plantar fasciitis flare-up over the weekend, so I decided to go a little easier on myself.  I think my foot appreciates that.

But I can definitely feel the difference in my moods and just overall sense of self due to lack of workouts.  So I'll be getting back to the 5 a.m. club next week.  I have to.

Last week's workouts
Friday: Off.
Saturday: Set up chairs, tents, tables, and other items for a race. Covered five miles in that time. Totally counting it as a workout. (4 hours)
Sunday: Off.
Monday: Off.
Tuesday: Off.
Wednesday: Off.
Thursday:  Off.

 Total as of 5/15

Only two weeks left to log about 350 minutes in workouts.

  1. I've definitely started to love early morning workouts-- I feel SO much better throughout the day, like I've actually accomplished something! Hope your foot gets better ASAP so you can get back at it!

  2. I was planning on going for my run this afternoon, but I twisted my ankle this morning, and that put an end to my plans.

Hope your foot is feeling better!

  3. Isn't it funny that when we stop or slow down our workouts our mood changes, too? I can definitely notice my energy levels go down quickly, and I'm much more tired. I hope your foot is feeling better now!!

  4. Ugh! I have plantar fasciitis too!! Just when it healed in my left foot, I got it in my right foot. Hopefully it goes away faster than my left. I had that for a few months. I just got a yoga DVD so hopefully that helps while I rest my feet. I hope yours feel better too!
