I have absolutely no drive or motivation this week. The days feel long and I just look at everything I need to do and think, "nope, don't want to." Unfortunately, I have to. So I push through.
Blech.
Mentally, I'm just so checked out. I'm kind of thinking it's because I worked at job number two over the weekend, so I didn't really have a weekend. I'm hoping the upcoming three-day break will help me get my head back in the game.
And now, let's get down to some confessions.
:: I am a bottomless pit lately. I want to eat all the food. All of it.
:: Over the weekend, everyone was tweeting about every Simpsons episode ever and the MTV VMAs. I wanted to join in. But I don't have cable.
:: I'm supposed to do one of those ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos. I think I've figured out the logistics of filming it on my own and I don't mind doing it, but I'm nervous about challenging people. I don't want to annoy people.
:: I'm noticing lately that I have a lot of walls up. Just like Rome, they weren't built in a day. And they're not likely to come down anytime soon either. Just looking out for myself.
:: I've had a few invites for fun Labor Day gatherings, but I think I'm mostly going to lay low. Well, Saturday will be busy, but Sunday and Monday are going to be introvert recovery days.
:: Speaking of Saturday, I'm very excited to welcome back college football!!
I guess I don't have a lot to confess this week. How about you?
My motivation is FINALLY coming back. I think a huge reason is that I changed positions and life is soooo much better! Last year I was sooo busy marketing that I rarely watched football. I think it's time to get back at it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me...I did my ice bucket challenge a few days ago but didn't send in my donation. Done & done. Don't worry about annoying people. Either they'll do it or they won't. I nominated 4 people...1 did it...1 bitched about it...1 is supposedly doing it...& the other didn't say anything. In the end you still did a good thing.
ReplyDeleteYay for football season! Maybe your football team won't be in last effing place like our Rangers... *sad faaace*
ReplyDeleteI'm also laying low this weekend. I'll fake a mild illness if it become necessary. I just want to sleep and watching Netflix... and sleep. Did I mention I want to sleep?

i totally forgot that this weekend was a long weekend! i have next week off so extra long for me woohoo!
ReplyDeletethanks for linking up
Some weeks there just isn't a lot of motivation. And that's okay.
ReplyDeleteI did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and the people I challenged didn't even ACKNOWLEDGE it. #Rude.
I didn't watch anything over the weekend except the series finale of True Blood. But I'm strongly considering cutting my cable. Do you watch shows another way? I'm looking into options like a Roku or Chromecast. As for the challenge, I know a lot of people who just donated instead of doing a video.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when I have bottomless pit days! I just want to eat and eat and I don't know why. (I kinda love those days though)
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your blog Thxs, I'm glad I found this blog by way of http://www.mysocalledchaos.com
