Stuff & Things 10/29

:: I finished re-reading a past National Novel Writing Month project last night. There were times I was fighting tears. Weird, considering I wrote the story, right?  Oh well. When I was done reading, I was more anxious than ever to get started on this year's project, which is a sequel to that one. I can't wait to spend more time with those characters. I hope I don't start boring everyone with the posts about this.

:: I discovered "Jane the Virgin" on Netflix over the weekend, and I'm obsessed. This is not ideal leading into a month where I need to spend all my free time writing. Oops!

:: I'm going to attempt the Advocare 24-Day Challenge starting Nov. 1, which will take me right up to Thanksgiving. I'll gladly accept any advice and recipes!

:: Thanks to Steph, I signed up for Scentbird. It's a great service for trying perfumes. I got my first shipment yesterday, and I'm loving the selection. I'm looking forward to more.

:: I've been tuning into 90s country on Pandora lately, and the nostalgia has been a lot of fun. Check out some of these tunes!

What's new with you?

  1. I don't think it's weird at all that you teared up. You've got a lot invested there and I'm excited for you to spend more time with those characters.

When MFD did the 24 day challenge we kept it stupid simple - baked chicken or salmon with steamed veggies and roasted sweet potatoes. I kept hard boiled eggs on hand and a lot of raw veggies cut up at the ready!

Never heard of Jane the Virgin. Will need to check it out!

  3. I keep meaning to start Jane the Virgin! I've heard such great things. '90s country is so, so great. I stopped listening to country music somewhere around 1999, so it always reminds me of my childhood.
