Best of the Bunch: March 2017

Admittedly, I was not the best blogger or blog reader this past month. I had a completely full plate -- buying a house, moving into said house, and trying to finish editing my next book. I'm still working on those last two things (we're moved in, but there's still so much organizing that needs to be done), but I'm trying to get back to my normal life routine as much as possible. That includes blogs! I've missed it more than you can imagine. So I'm ready to tackle it again, starting with my favorites from the past month.

Sarah gave up booze for a full 24 days and learned a lot from it. No, it's not the typical "I had more energy" or "my skin cleared up." There were some great insights in there. I don't know if I want to go cold turkey for that long, but I did give it up for 10 days once and I had a lot of the same revelations.

One thing I've been struggling with lately is being kind to myself even when I make mistakes. Kristin's post about self-compassion hit just at the right time.

Facebook is both a terrible and wonderful thing. In the case of my friend, Terry, who needed a kidney transplant, it was the latter. Read about the man who's saving his life.

A few of my friends are raising very strong-willed little girls. I hope they read this piece by Taylor entitled, "For All the Feisty Girls." Love it!!!

In February, Samm began sharing her experiences with infertility. Part 3 brings a happy ending to the story. Or, a happy beginning. Whichever way you want to look at it.

Happy reading and happy Saturday!!
