It's OK Thursday

I can't believe it's Thursday already.  Don't groan at me.  I'm sure most of you are wishing the work week would move faster, but ... for me, it moved plenty fast this week.

With my workouts and pep band, I've been insanely busy.  I'm ready for a slowdown this weekend.  Although, I'm not sure how much of one I'll get.  Saturday, I have Zumba and then I'm meeting my friend Jaci for Mexican food and girl time.  She's moving to NYC in less than two weeks, and while I'm really excited for her, I'm really going to miss getting to see her on a regular basis.  Monday, I'm going to try and go get some medical tests done and then I'll workout and there's a basketball game (pep band) that night.  So Sunday might be my only lazy day ... which is good, since there are actually football games I care about on TV that day.  Go Pack Go!

Anyhow, enough of that.  Let's get to ...

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK ...

... to have a private blog (or two) where I go to vent the things I can't or don't want to post publicly.

... to start thinking about where I want to be in my life in five years.

... to be worried that those plans might not meet the approval of some people I know.

... to unfriend or hide a facebook pal who posts obnoxiously negative and judgmental updates. I get that people go through rough patches, but seriously ... enough is enough.

... to trade my morning makeup routine for moisturizer and mascara when I'm just too tired to care.

... to be amused when people meet me for the first time and are surprised that I am a female. Having a boy's name has provided a lifetime of those moments.

... to feel sometimes as if no one knows me at all.

I ended on a deep one.  Sorry.  It's been one of those weeks.  I've been doing a lot of thinking.

  1. I'm going to miss you too. Thank goodness for the internet, blogs, and Twitter though! And, you'll have an excuse to come visit NYC now ;-)

  2. The hide button is the best thing ever!! I have someone who only posts complaints. And it's everyday. Multiple times a day. Yeah, enough is enough!
