It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK ...

... that having an intuitive tell me about how I'd meet my future husband
made it easier to get over a stupid crush.
And by stupid, I'm referring to him and me.
He's stupid for not seeing how awesome I am,
and I'm stupid for wasting so much time and energy on him.

... that I'm thinking about getting another tattoo.
I have three, by the way.

... that I trust only two people in this world with my hair.
Steph and Bridget.
I am antsy to get my hair cut, but not unless I can get in with one of these two people.

... to be really excited about the impending arrival of my Zumba shoes.
My running shoes don't pivot and turn as easily, so I bought some Ryka Transitions.
I'm not saying the shoes will make me look better, but hopefully I'll be able to move better.

... that I had to corner one of my cats in a bathroom and trim the fur under her tail.
She continues to poop right outside the litter box.
She only does it about twice a week, and only when I'm home.
Clearly, she's trying to get my attention.
I decided to try trimming her fur, and see if it helps her feel better.
But the experience was traumatic for both of us.
She was scared, and I got bitten and scratched.
Poor baby Casey.

... to have a tough time deciding how I want to pamper myself on Valentine's Day.
I don't want to spend a ton of money.
My nails are stubby, so a manicure is out.
I might buy myself flowers for my desk.
Hmm ... any other ideas?

What's OK with you this week?

  1. I sure wish I'd have an intuitive tell me how I'm going to meet my future husband ;)

Flowers is a great idea. And chocolate. And wine. Maybe rent a cheesy movie, or a movie you love and drink some wine and eat something really unhealthy but totally yummy?!

  2. Pedicures are always very nice! They massage your feet and calves. Good for tired tootsies. Shoe shopping always makes me feel better. Oh, a massage is good. Check on groupon and see if they have any deals in your area.

  3. I love the idea of pampering yourself on V-day. All my roomies are in relationships, and it's making me feel a bit left out. Maybe this will be my way of celebrating the day :)

  4. Hairstylists love to hear our clients say you don't trust your hair with anyone else :)

  5. I'd go out and buy something cute that you've been putting off getting for yourself. I'm going to get a North Face fleece with birthday money and call it a V-Day treat. Just because I can! Oh, and Zumba shoes sound great. I haven't been to Zumba in awhile, but everytime I go, I wish I had the shoes.
