It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK ...

... that I'm constantly changing my mind about marriage and motherhood.
Some days, I think I want both.
Some days, I think I only want one.
Some days, I don't want either.
Since I'm not remotely close to either one, I think my waffling is allowed.

... that the only time I left my house last weekend was for a blizzard from Dairy Queen.
A mini-confetti cake blizzard, to be exact.
And it was so worth the trip and the WW points splurge.
I'm getting another one today.
Cannot wait.

... to just log out of Twitter for an entire evening.
On Sunday, as soon as the Rangers game was over, I logged out for the rest of the day.
People were annoying me, so I decided I needed a break.
And it was a really nice one.

... to think the dog on the Pet Meds commercial looks fake.
It's super cute, but it's not real, right?

... that I'm grateful for a night without baseball so I can read.
I love my boys of summer.
But a day off every now and then is good. For me and them.
I am in the midst of a really good book, and I want to finish it soon.
No game tonight means I have time.  Yay.

... to look at people like this when they say they don't like reading:
Seriously, what's wrong with you?

... that my guest room closet is full again.
I cleaned it out at the start of spring, getting rid of tons of clothes.
And it was somewhat spacious.
But then I moved my winter clothes from my bedroom to the guest room, and it's full again.
Winter clothes are bigger, and I have more of them, it seems.
Most of the clothes I wore last summer don't fit me anymore.
This is bittersweet, but I'll deal with it.

... that I'm bummed I have to wait until June 24 for more "Army Wives."
Come on, Lifetime.
It's bad enough this is the last season.
Is this mid-season break really necessary?
Roxy is totally my favorite, by the way.
And I miss Pamela more than I thought I would.

... that I've been thinking way too much lately.
This is what happens when I'm not writing a novel.
I can't focus on fictional lives, so I think (and overthink) about mine.
Anyone else have this problem?

... that I wish I could do this instead:
Such good advice, but I have a really hard time following it.
I think that means I'm a control freak.

What's OK with you?

  1. Ooooh my goodness, I want that blizzard. Stat.

I watched the first 2 seasons of Army Wives, but then I stopped because it was making me think of my ex who is in the Army, and also a pretty big d-bag, so I stopped watching it. Heard it's gotten pretty crazy though!

    Love that last picture...so true.

  2. Ha! Yes to basically all of this. I don't watch much TV that isn't baseball so I am reading tonight. I am taking some time off this weekend to not run after running all last weekend. Oh, and it is my entire spare bedroom. Maybe this is the weekend that I will find time to go through all those boxes and purge!

    Happy long weekend!

  4. That confetti cake blizzard looks like my kind of treat. I don't even use twitter and I'm niot sure what the draw is to it. Facebook annoys me enough as it is.
