It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK ...

... to mute Jillian and listen to Christmas tunes while doing the "30 Day Shred."
I adore Jillian, but after a few times through, I get tired of hearing her.
The music made a huge difference on my attention span and mood.
Lunges and crunches are so much easier while listening to 'N Sync and Michael Buble.

\\\\////

... to watch "Elf" and "Four Christmases" on a Tuesday night.
I was throwing myself a bit of a pity party that day.
Honestly, I was in a bad mood for no reason.
Will Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel, Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon cheered me up.

\\\\////

... that I never got to see "The Dark Knight Rises" in theaters.
I have no good reason for why I didn't go.
But it comes out on DVD this Tuesday.
I'll make sure I see it soon.

\\\\////

... to be ridiculously excited about seeing the "Les Miserables" movie.
The previews make me giddy every time they're on.
My family usually goes to a movie on Christmas Day, but I doubt we can talk my brother into that one.
But I will see it within days of its release, I promise.

\\\\////

... to consider switching from WW to MyFitnessPal.
I'll probably wait until after I meet my WW goal.
I mean, I'll want a tool to stay accountable anyway.
And MFP is free. Anyone have experience with both?

\\\\////

... that I won't complete National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).
The goal is 50K words. I'm going to fall quite short of that at just over 30K.
But I still made great progress on my next novel.
As long as I'm writing, it's still a success.

\\\\////

... to feel like Hunter Hayes' CD is the soundtrack for this current season of my life.
Almost every song fits something I'm feeling/thinking/going through right now.
I feel like when I put it in the player five years from now, I will recall this time.
I might be wrong. We'll see.

\\\\////

... to have a hard time deciding between wine and hot chocolate.
I allow myself one treat/indulgence each day.
I love them both so much.
And, no, I can't have both. Bummer.

\\\\////

... to buy a bag of Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses after seeing them on multiple blogs.
They are a little taste of heaven. Or the holidays. Or both?
I will have to put the bag somewhere so I don't eat them too fast.
But I regret nothing about this purchase.

\\\\////

... to be in love with my new Christmas socks.
The Grinch shouldn't make me smile, but he does.
There's nothing I can wear them with so everyone can see the whole sock.
So I'll just wearing them around the house, I guess.

What's OK with you?

  1. I started using WW a few years ago (before the point system changed) and have used MyFitnessPal for months now. It syncs with my FitBit - to me it is an ideal app for accountability. I can log in from my computer, or use the app on my phone. :)

  2. I tried MFP but felt horribly confined. I just wanted to know what I was eating, calorie-wise, each day, but I ended up getting frustrated and giving up after two days. I think you should wear the socks as boot socks, coming up over the top of the boots. Why not?!

  3. I have to tell you the truth, I am going back to MFP. I don't do well on WW. I eat too much fruit. It is true. I just eat way too much free stuff. I need to be more accountable and the WW is too forgiving. That is just me. I have a month left on WW and then I am going back to MFP for good. I tried. I like the recipes though so I will probably take some of the tools and stuff but I can get that on Pinterest.

  9. I used MFP for quite awhile after canceling my WW subscription but ultimately ended up using the LoseIt app.
