It's OK ...
... to turn on the "Hit Country" station and zone out for the entire evening.
I needed to get some serious writing done last night.
I can't do that with TV on, so I went with music.
Country tunes from the 80s and 90s totally took me back.
And certainly helped me get a few thousand words out.

... to sing along with Martina, Faith, Wynonna, Trisha, Tanya and Shania on said station.
I'm not saying I can hit all those notes.
Even my cats leave the room when I sing.
But since no one else is around, who cares?
And if you know who all those women are just from their first name, you're awesome.
\\\\////
... to dread going to the post office.
It's just never a fun experience.
There's always a line and too few people working.
But I love getting mail, so I suppose I should send some.
Mug swap partner, be on the look out. I'm finally sending it.
\\\\////
... to buy a men's razor because it works so much better.
I have gone through about every women's brand I can find, but didn't like them.
Finally, after some resarch, I bought a men's Gilette Fusion.
It's totally worth the extra cash.
And I don't care if it looks out of place in my shower.

... that I have repeatedly considered going to see "Pitch Perfect" again.
I saw it with my parents a few weeks ago and loved it.
I can pretty much guarantee I'll be buying it on DVD as soon as possible.
There may even be a "Pitch Perfect" party in the planning.
And it will probably become one of those movies I watch when I need a pick-me-up.
\\\\////
... that I am pretty much checked out of online dating.
I have two weeks left on my subscription, and I just don't even care.
Maybe it's because I have too many other things going on.
Maybe it's because I have "tunnel vision" about someone else. (And it's completely ridiculous.)
Or maybe it's just not the best thing for me.

What's OK with you?
I am there with you on dating and I know who every one of those women are! Just get through the holidays. That is what my focus is right now. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's OK that I've been staying in more Friday nights than going out. I'm getting so much done, and am saving buckets of money too!
