Yes, I'm talking about Valentine's Day.
I used to absolutely dread this day. It's torture watching other girls get flowers and balloons all day and then going home empty handed. It's a little better in adulthood, but not much.
A few years ago, I decided to change my attitude about Feb. 14. Love doesn't have to come from a romantic partner. I can and should love myself. I now use it as a day to pamper and splurge on myself. (Here's what I did in 2011 and 2012). Suffice to say, I no longer have the same dread for that day.
Why don't we up the enjoyment a little more with a blogger swap? I have thorougly enjoyed the mug swap, book swap and fall swap I participated in last year. I sat out the Christmas ones, but now I'm ready to get back in it. I asked around the Twittersphere, but it seemed no Valentine's Day swap was being planned. So I figured -- why not host it?

ReplyDeleteYes, I've re-worded to update. That's what I meant. :)
DeleteIs this US only? seems every time I participate in a swap I get international and that is just too costly for me.
ReplyDeleteI signed up or this but never got an email?
