I started my new job today, and so far, so good. The first day is always a little odd -- it was mostly tours of the building (and this is a BIG building), setting up e-mail, checking out the software on my computer and getting familiar with the company structure. But I like the people I work with, and I think this will be a really good opportunity.
My hostess for the week provided me with an excellent dinner - Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers! Seriously, you have to try these.

On that note, I decided to let you in on my current thoughts ...
loving: My new haircut.
reading: "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Rubin
waiting for: things to settle with my house so I can officially move.
excited about: this Friday night with my girls -- hibachi, drinks and Tim Stop!
wearing: workout clothes, but I'll be in pajamas within five minutes of posting this.
using: my brand new MacBook. Name to be revealed this weekend.
planning: tomorrow's dinner. Seriously, that's all the further ahead I can think right now.
singing: I'm not.
needing: more money. It would solve a lot of problems.
learning: to be patient. Not one of my stronger virtues.
enjoying: living in a metro area. Even if I'm mostly in transition at the moment.
working on: getting back to tracking my WW points.
listening to: Tyrone Wells - "Where We Meet"
doing: what I have to in order to get through this transitional period in my life.
dreaming of: warmer weather so I can get outside more!
wishing: there wasn't so much negativity on my social media feeds lately.

I hope everyone's having a fantastic week!
My Jewish/Italian roots cause me to show love by cooking for people - so I obviously love you! It's been so wonderful having you here this week, you are such a blessing right now.
ReplyDeleteThings will settle down, this is just a weird part of your journey.
