When I woke up this morning, the weather people told me it was 15 degrees out. With a 19 degree windchill. That means it felt like -4 outside. I was really tempted to skip my Ugly Sweater 5K. But I knew I needed to run today, so it was either the 5K or four miles on the dreadmill at the gym.
This what I decided:
I think that tells you how much I hate the dreadmill.
I'm actually pretty proud of myself for going. I bundled up (three layers) and once we got moving, I was perfectly fine. There was no timer for this one, but checking my clock after the race tells me I finished in about 32 minutes. I'll take it!
Now for some relaxing and writing.
I think I earned it.
Great job! I did a half when the high was 25. I thought that was cold!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! That's a great time in that kind of weather, and just in general! I'm running in a 5-miler next Thursday and a 10K on the 7th...eeek!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! It was about 30* for the race I did yesterday and my hands and feet were the coldest. This midwest cold/humidity/wind stuff is brutal.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr! We have a really fun Jingle Bell Run in December. It's sooo cold and usually a little rainy, but so much fun and the energy of the 10,000 participants keeps me warm! I don't know if I could have done it that cold though! Great job and congrats on six this year!!
