Every week, there are a bunch of these in my blog feed. I decided it was time to jump on this train.
Usher will ... um, usher us into the post with a little serenade.
Mmm ... thanks, babe. That was nice.
Anyhow.
These are my confessions ...
I am a little superstitious when it comes to sports.
|
They're ready for St. Patrick's Day. I'm in Cyclone gear. Together we look like Christmas. |
I went out with friends for St. Patrick's Day and some other celebrations on Saturday night. The same night my Iowa State Cyclones were playing Baylor in the Big XII Championship Basketball game. My friends were confused about why I wasn't wearing green. My explanation, "Green is a Baylor color. I'm not taking chances." They thought I was stupid, but ... oh well ... it's only weird if it doesn't work, right?

I am a little bit of a beer snob. OK, more than a little bit.
I learned to drink beer when I was in college because it was cheap and an easy item to order at a bar. But I never loved it. Until I discovered craft beer. Good beer. Now, the only times you'll catch me drinking Miller Lite, Bud Light, etc. is when I'm tailgating (read: going to drink a lot of beer for many hours) or when it's the only option (i.e. at a wedding or sporting event). And even in that latter case, I may opt for no beer over crappy beer.
+++++
I don't like Shamrock Shakes.
So many people on my Twitter/Facebook/Instagram feeds are posting pictures of those sugary green concoctions from McD's. I won't even call them ice cream, because it's not really ice cream. I tried one once, just to see what all the fuss was about. I couldn't even finish it. So gross.
+++++
I have a new massive obsession with Greg Finley.
I really wasn't that fond of him when he was on "Secret Life of the American Teenager," but then I recently saw him on an episode of "Law & Order: SVU." And then I discovered "Star Crossed." Oh my. He's nice to look at. And I'm not usually into muscled guys with shaved heads (really, I'm not). He really needs to stop playing teenage characters because it makes me feel like a creep. Also, he's 29.
+++++
I'm also infatuated with Adam Scott.
But I'm pretty sure that's only because he reminds me of someone I know and adore in real life. And, no, I'm not telling you who. That's a confession I won't be making publicly. Probably ever.
+++++
My reading list lately has gone back and forth between young adult fiction (Harry Potter & Divergent) and steamy romances.
I don't know if this means I'm balanced or just strange. But I don't really care. I read what I want!
+++++
I get irrationally angry at people who drive/park like assholes.
|
Shout out to my friend, LeQui for her "parking fails" album on facebook. |
Seriously? It's two lines. It's not that difficult.
How did you pass driver's ed?

What are your confessions?
arrrgghhh!!! the bad parkers/douche holes that take up two spots. they make me SO MAD i seriously have to fight the urge to key their car.

I've never understood people who go to McDonald's for ice cream. There's usually a ColdStone, froyo, or even a DQ somewhere in town. Get the good stuff. I tried a sip of shamrock shake once. Nasty.
ReplyDeleteI've never even had a Shamrock Shake... I am the same way with books lol.
ReplyDeleteI get a shamrock shake every year.... and I hate it, every year. They're disgusting but I keep giving into the stupid signs like I'm going to magically like it this time.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for the Shamrock Shakes either...and people who park like that deserve to get keyed (not by me of course!!)
ReplyDeleteHey Micah! My boyfriend drives (I do not) and whenever he see's park jobs like that he gets extremely frustrated and cannot understand why people do this. I agree! Its so rude! xx
ReplyDeleteLisa,xo
I 100% think it is reasonable why you didn;t wear green. Duh!
ReplyDeleteI love Shamrock Shakes. Mmm.
ReplyDeleteI've read some YA books too. The Hunger Games trilogy was YA but I really enjoyed them.
Oh my gosh, I have a crush on Adam Scott, too! There's something you don't hear erryday! haha
ReplyDeleteI'm with you..i'd rather drink no beer than crappy beer! I'm a beer snob, and not the least bit ashamed.
ReplyDeleteI confessed my love of YA books in last week's confession! And ya know what? A lot of the comments were about their love of YA books and they gave me recs! Awesome. And I HATE bad drivers and parkers too!
ReplyDeleteI love Adam Scott! If you watch the new show Mixology, there's a blond guy who I am convinced is Adam Scott's British long lost twin.
