Last week, I straightened my hair -- as I do a few times a year.
The number of compliments I got was overwhelming. Although it was not unwelcome. Compliments are always nice.
People always ask me why I don't straighten my hair more often. There are a few reasons ...
1) It takes forever. Once my hair is dry (which can take hours if I'm air drying), it takes me another 45 minutes with a straight iron to get it smoothed out.
2) It's pointless in the summer. The humidity would undo all of the above-mentioned work.
3) I actually really like my curls. Maybe other people think they're boring, but I like them.
Honestly, I'm glad I have such versatile hair -- I can wear it in either of the above-mentioned styles and it still looks good. Options are always awesome.
Do you have something you like to change up once in awhile?
I struggle with this too! I only straighten my hair a few times a year bc it's so much work!
ReplyDeleteIf you were always straightening it, you'd get compliments on the curls! I love both, I think you look gorgeous either way. Natural hair is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think your curly hair is gorgeous and I'm glad you like your curls! But it does look nice straight too. You just have beautiful hair.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I realize the length when your hair is curly, but it's so long and shiny and healthy! You look great!
ReplyDeleteI love it both ways, but straight is so nice!! I definitely understand it taking forever though-while I don't have naturally curly hair, it's wavy and all through the summer I think I may have straightened my hair 3 times. Humidity sucks, lol.
