:: Today is going to be a super long day. I was up at 5:15 to go to the gym. Now I'm at work. Then I'm meeting up with friends from out of town. And they're night owls who don't have to work tomorrow. So ... I don't imagine I'll be home before eleven. Hopefully I won't yawn too much.
:: I'm very excited about the running group I met up with the other night. I'll share more about that tomorrow, but it's sufficient to say my first run with them won't be my last.
:: I was really late ordering my Christmas cards, so they only arrived yesterday. I'll be sending them out early next week, so they'll be more like New Year's cards. I'm OK with that. If you want a card from me, go here and give me your address. I promise not to stalk you.
:: It's almost time to complete self-evaluations at work. I really hate them. I don't want to give myself too much credit, nor do I want them to think I believe I suck at my job (even though some days I do). Grr.
:: I have two friends with birthdays on Christmas Eve (hello Kamara and Alicia!) and one with a birthday on Christmas Day (hey Katie!). They don't seem to mind the timing of their birthdays, but man, I would not be happy if my special day was usurped by a holiday. Although my birthday is in the middle of summer and often forgotten. I didn't even get a card from my office like everyone else. (And, yes, I have a little rage every time I sign a birthday card for someone else.) Birthdays are serious business for me.
I really should get to work, so I'll have to leave off there. Yay Thursday Friday Eve!
That e-card is totally me. There's a xmas parade, and we had two viewing options available, 6:30 or 7:45, and Iw as like "7:45 are you kidding me?!?!" I'll be so tired by then! haha, um yeah, we went with the 6:30 so we could get the senior citizen discount on dinner..hmmm
ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you on the birthday thing. My February birthday is also almost always an after thought, and when I sign birthday cards and eat cake for my co-workers birthdays, I get a little rage-y.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have serious issues if I was born in December.
We used to go to movies (at a theater 5 minutes away) at 10pm and I'd wear sweatpants. Scott liked to "get out" (you know I'm happy on the couch!) but I'd only go along if I could be comfy.
ReplyDeleteAs a January birthday, I suffer the after-Christmas-birthday-plight.
Love the first ecard about starting the movie at 8:30. That's so me!!!

Oh gosh the xmas birthdays. My husband's birthday is today (well, yesterday since it's after midnight here now...the 18th). And even though it's a full week before xmas--it's dangerously close and often gets upstaged. Poor thing. Yay for a running group though!!
